About Finger Lakes Addictions Counseling & Recovery Agency – FLACRA – Canandaigua
Finger Lakes Addiction Counseling and Recovery Agency, also known as FLACRA, is located in New York State. Their Community Residence facility is in Canandaigua, New York, and services veterans, many of whom are homeless. The facility offers high-intensity supervision and support for vets with substance use disorders.
Veterans will get counseling, recovery education, peer coaching, and support, as well as assistance with life skills training, job training, and social services to prepare them to step down to a lower intensity supportive living or independant living environment.
Veterans at Community Residence also have access to Cadence Square. This is a community service for homeless vets with mental health needs as well as substance abuse disorder. Here, veterans have access to case managers as well as weekly meetings for outpatient care. Public transportation is also available. HUD and VASH vouchers are accepted for rent.
They also have a nearby medical center if your symptoms are acute. An assigned case manager can direct you to specialized programs within the FLACRA network. They can also assist you in finding permanent housing, including those that take service animals.
