About Florida Parishes Human Services Authority – FPHSA – Slidell
Florida Parishes Human Services Authority (FPHSA) is a community health agency that provides developmental disabilities services and behavioral healthcare. FPHSA serves the Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington Florida parishes. It’s by Heritage Park.
FPHSA has an impressive accreditation from CARF. They serve all clients regardless of your ability to pay. They have a fee scale for behavioral health services depending on your income and family size. During intake, front desk staff can help you know if you are eligible for discounted fees.
Their Slidell, Louisiana location is an outpatient behavioral health clinic. They are open during regular business hours with evening addiction treatment groups.
The Slidell FPHSA provides screenings, medications for opioid use disorders, therapy, tobacco cessation, gambling counseling, and case management. Their program offers clients options of Sublocade, Vivitrol and buprenorphine/Suboxone. I like that there are multiple options because all of these mediations work differently so clients can get the one that suits them best.
Clients can take part in their intensive outpatient treatment program. You’ll get at least 9 hours of therapeutic services a week. This often includes a blend of individual, group and family counseling.
I appreciate that FPHSA also offers peer support services. This can be so valuable to help recovering adults feel supported by individuals who understand what it’s like. All clients get case management to overcome barriers that stand in the way of your full and long-lasting recovery.
