About Flushing Hospital Chemical Dependency Unit – East Flushing
Flushing Hospital Medical Center is Queen’s oldest hospital. They have continued to expand their services over its 135+ years of service. Their chemical dependency unit is a division of their psychiatry department. This unit offers inpatient services for detoxing from drugs or alcohol.
This 30-bed unit helps you detox from alcohol and drugs in a safe manner. You’ll be cared for and monitored by physicians, nurses, and psychiatric consultants. You’ll also work with social workers, art therapists, and addiction counselors. Patients usually stay in this unit for 3-7 days.
Flushing Hospital also offers an outpatient program called reflections. This holistic program focuses on how your addiction impacts your overall well being as well as the impact on your loved ones. Reflections is offered both during the day and in the evenings to suit your schedule.
Flushing accepts several insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare. If you are a self-pay client, there’s a sliding scale for fees. If you don’t have insurance you may qualify for financial aid. The financial assistance office can help you figure out what you’re entitled to.
