About Fort Smith Behavioral Health – Fort Smith
Fort Smith Behavioral Health is a private behavioral health and substance abuse treatment clinic in Fort Smith, Arkansas, northwest of Echols Lake. Their mission is to help clients heal mind, body, and soul. They serve adult clients.
Staff provide clients with individualized treatment plans based on thorough psychosocial assessments. These assessments help to identify both the problems a client is experiencing and how the client wants them addressed.
Fort Smith Behavioral Health operates solely on an outpatient basis. Outpatient programs are designed for clients with mild symptoms or who are otherwise considered stable and don’t need staff supervision around the clock. Clients continue to live at home while in this program, visiting the clinic on a regular basis to participate in treatment.
Every client receives a personalized treatment plan to meet their unique needs and address their concerns. The core of treatment in the outpatient program is therapy, which may follow the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or psychoanalytic therapy models. Please note that Fort Smith Behavioral Health does not prescribe medication to its clients.
In addition to addressing a client’s concerns, therapy helps clients better understand the nature of their problems, how to advocate for themselves, and develop new coping and life skills to replace negative behaviors.
Fort Smith Behavioral Health accepts most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, TRICARE, UMR, Medicare, Humana, Ambetter, and United Healthcare. In network and out of network benefits may vary, so clients are encouraged to confirm coverage with their provider before enrolling in a treatment program.
