About Freedom Farm Ministries – Boone

Freedom Farm Ministries is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. Freedom Farm Ministries is a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

The mission of Freedom Farm Ministries is to seek the restoration of men broken by chemical addiction to the point of repentance by introducing them to the person and work of Jesus Christ as He is presented and proclaimed and described in the Bible.

Located on several acres of remote farm land in Ashe County North Carolina, the Safe House serves an average of ten men with an additional “house man” who supervises the program. While there is no set length of stay, most residents are able to be accepted into a Christian recovery program within four to five weeks of entering the Safe House. Weekly one-on-one counseling is provided.

Requirements for admission to the Safe House are chemical dependence and a life-threatening condition in the man’s current environment. Men must be very serious and have come to the end of themselves, ready for God to free them and release them from the bondage of addiction. These men are at risk of losing their lives if they remain where they are and continue in drug and/or alcohol use.

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months).
