About Frontier Health – Watauga Behavioral Health Services – Johnson City
Frontier Health-Watauga Behavioral Health Services has many programs to help with addiction as well as other programs. It’s located in the beautiful town of Johnson City, Tennessee. Some of the services offered include outpatient mental health, programs for adults with co-occurring conditions and special programs for children, adolescents and families. Home and community-based services are also available if needed.
Their Medication Assisted Recovery Program (MAR) is available for clients needing treatment for opioid use disorder. They work with their clients to stabilize symptoms and enhance recovery. Each client has a specific plan for their needs. Treatment includes individual and group therapy and peer recovery as well as medication management to assist in recovery.
Mother-child connection services are also available at this facility. These are services for women 18 years old and above who have dependent children or are expecting a child while experiencing substance abuse disorder. Here, they can find specialized treatment to help them deal with the specific issues they’re facing.
Family Links is a short-term program for families with children two to 15 years old. This program is two to four hours one time a week for eight to 12 weeks. This service is for behavioral issues as well as helping with social skills. This is a free program.
Regional Intervention Program (RIP) is a free program that focuses on helping parents work with behavior problems. To qualify for services, the child must be enrolled in the program before they are six years old.
Also available is a student-assisted program that helps students academically with behavioral problems. Teachers as well as counselors are provided.
