About Gandara Mental Health Center – Outpatient Services Division – Springfield
Gandara Mental Health Center – Outpatient Services Division offers a range of outpatient programs for addiction treatment, mental health care and impaired driving. At this Springfield, Massachusetts location, there is also access to sex offender therapy and intimate partner abuse education. A partial hospitalization program is available to treat substance abuse in a structured environment.
The partial hospitalization program includes six weeks of structured treatment to help people achieve abstinence from substance use. This program runs Monday through Friday for just over three hours each day.
If you can’t commit to this intensive structure then you can attend substance use support groups that can help you create a relapse prevention plan. These groups will help you identify high risk relapse factors and other causes and consequences of addiction. Recovery coaches are part of the clinical team and will help you create a recovery plan and put it into action.
For sex offenders, group therapy and evaluations will help you recognize internal and external triggers. The goal of this program is relapse prevention and accountability. An ongoing program for domestic violence helps hold violators accountable.
This program helps you adopt respectful and non-abusive attitudes and behaviors. Anger management treatment aims to make clients aware of their aggression and impulsive behavior. You’ll learn how to challenge your beliefs and practice stress management. A DPH impaired driving program is held in coed groups and lasts about 16 weeks. This is an ongoing program with no waitlist.
