The Gateway Foundation in Lake Villa, Illinois, is a 16 bed residential facility offering round the clock medical care and personalized addiction rehabilitation in a lakeside setting. Accepting both commercial insurance and Medicaid, their medical detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT) programs are certified by LegitScript and accredited by the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) and The Joint Commission. They also have an intensive outpatient program and virtual visits to fit treatment into your lifestyle and schedule.

Admission starts with a comprehensive intake assessment with a focus on health. This is a time for you to tell your story and best determine your needs.

Once you start treatment Gateway can provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) for co-occurring mental health conditions in gender specific groups. They also offer services like trauma therapy and motivational interviewing. While they focus on drug and alcohol addiction recovery they have multiple treatment options for gambling addiction as well.

Recognizing that different people have different triggers, Lake Villa offers an assortment of specialized programs. These include a rehab group for young men, an LGBTQ+ program and the Triumph Program for working professionals. All of these are designed to address unique community experiences while teaching healthy coping mechanisms and helping you avoid relapse.

No matter what your individualized rehabilitation plan, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the many wellness activities at the facility. Recreation therapy helps to build healthy habits in recovery.
