Gateways Homeless Services, located in Los Angeles, California, provides behavioral health care and housing services to individuals who are mentally ill and who also are at risk of becoming homeless or are already homeless. Their wide array of services assist individuals in rebuilding their lives.
Gateways Homeless Services may be able to help with addiction treatment to a minimal degree, but if addiction is acute, clients will be referred to an alcohol or drug rehab center. Services at this location are offered on an outpatient basis.
The outpatient program offers assessments, case management services, psychiatric evaluations, medication management and support, individual therapy, group therapy, health services, vocational linkages, and other community resource linkages. individuals in need of housing will be referred to the housing services department.
If insurance coverage is a barrier, clients may still receive treatment. Gateways Homeless Services accepts most major medical insurance plans, including Amerigroup, Beacon, Cigna, ComPsych, Wellmark, TRICARE, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Anthem.
