Genesee Behavioral Health Center provides outpatient behavioral and mental health services for adults 18 and over and their families. Located in Rochester, New York, the treatment team offers comprehensive behavioral health services and they specialize in emergency psychiatric services, chemical dependency, and more. Rochester is a scenic city on the shores of Lake Ontario. The treatment center is only 10 miles from Ontario Beach Park with its historic carousel, picnic shelters, beach, and the historic Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse at the end of the pier. There’s a lot to do and see in Rochester if you’re coming here for treatment.
The chemical dependency program here is for adolescents and adults and offers comprehensive services with both inpatient and outpatient treatment. Clients can also get outpatient alcohol detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT) at their other clinics less than three miles away.
The team will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. Treatment includes flexible options such as the unique online chemical dependency therapy option. The online program was designed for flexibility and clients can get care online, in the clinic, or through a combination of both.
Another notable part of the program is the outpatient medical alcohol detox. This is offered through their location on Long Pond Road. The program is about 7-10 days with a daily one hour appointment. You can not drive while in this program.
Addiction care includes mental health care and education. You’ll receive all the supportive services you need to maintain recovery after your chemical dependency programs have been completed.
The treatment team uses a holistic approach to treatment. That includes substance use professionals, addiction psychiatrists, therapists, social workers and nurses. You’ll have access to other specialists too like nutritionists and vocational counselors as well as recreational therapists so you have everything you need to succeed.
