About Georgetown Behavioral Hospital – Georgetown
If you’re looking for addiction and behavioral health treatment in Texas then Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute may be a good option for you. The facility is an acute care psychiatric hospital with 118 beds located on Austin Avenue in Georgetown, Texas. The facility is operated by Signature Healthcare Services, LLC, and offers comprehensive treatment of substance use and co occurring mental health disorders. They accept insurance and are in network with a variety of providers.
The treatment team centers the adult programs on four core principles. The principles include prevention and wellness, disease education, identifying triggers, and learning and using self regulatory behaviors.
They’re welcoming to LGBTQ and all people regardless of race. They offer the Halo (health assistance, linkage, and outreach) Program for men and women in the U.S. Military. The Halo program seeks to help those with substance abuse issues and prevent those at risk from developing addictions.
If you need immediate stabilization for chemical dependency then they have an adult inpatient program that provides detoxification and stabilization. You’ll have monitoring around the clock and medication management for mental health issues. After detox, you can stay in the adult inpatient treatment program for those ages 18 and up. The duration of the program varies depending on your unique circumstances and treatment plan.
While an inpatient, you’ll work with a treatment team of nurses, therapists, social workers, and psychiatrists. They use evidence based therapies that include group and family therapy. You’ll also be able to participate in expressive and recreational therapies, including motivational enhancement therapy (MET). MET uses goal setting, feedback, and reflection to help you find increased motivation to achieve sobriety instead of directing you step by step.
The inpatient program is on a beautiful property with a duck pond. There are five outside patios, and you’ll have access to a gym.
The hospital also offers two adult outpatient programs. They have a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). The IOP meets six days a week and the PHP is five days per week. They also have a chemical dependency IOP that meets three days per week for three hours lasts about eight weeks.
