About Glade Run Lutheran Services – Pittsburgh

Glade Run Lutheran Services provides comprehensive mental health services, including addiction treatment for children and adults. Programs include various outpatient care and community-based support. You’ll find ’em out in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Admission to most treatment programs begins when you fill out an online form requesting information or placement in one of their treatment programs. Your family healthcare provider or your child’s school may also set up a referral.

They accept Medicaid, TRICARE, and private insurance from major providers like Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Highmark, Humana, and United Healthcare UHC. You can also pay for services with cash, check, or a credit/debit card. They have a sliding scale fee program for eligible patients. Don’t worry if you don’t see your insurance provider here as they accept insurance from other providers as well.

If you choose outpatient care, there are different levels of intensity, ranging from partial hospitalization (PHP) to general outpatient (OP) programs. The PHP is especially built for children in mind as it ends at 3:00pm and provides lunch. The program works with your kids’ schools so that they keep up with their lessons.

In any program, they offer mental health assessments and psychiatric evaluations to help determine the best treatment approach for your unique needs. During treatment, your customized care plan may include individual, family, and group therapy. Outpatient counseling usually takes place in school or community-based office settings.

By registering in one of their outpatient programs, you may qualify for the Psychiatric Mobile Medication program. This program helps patients 18 and over who have a history of poor medication compliance, repeated hospital admissions, or issues with substance abuse.

Specializing in trauma focused care, Master’s level psychologists take a holistic approach to mental health and addiction treatment. Your treatment plan could include evidence-based therapies like trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Group therapy is another common approach to trauma focused care. The goal is to create a safe and supportive environment to help patients avoid re-traumatization during care.

While substance abuse treatment may not be their core program, they realize that substance use often coincides with mental health issues. Patients with dual diagnoses can get help here with both!
