About Gospel Rescue Mission – Men’s Center – Tucson
Gospel Rescue Mission’s Men’s Center in Tucson, Arizona, is a faith based sober living shelter. They provide temporary drug free living accommodations with a biblically rooted, holistic, and spiritual approach. They may be of particular help to homeless adult males who need a restart, beginning with confronting addiction.
This center has a focus on meeting basic human needs, which it sees at square one in the former drug user’s eventual attainment of sobriety. Guys who feel like they’ve hit rock bottom or have been sleeping rough and want to make a change may find themselves accepted and supported.
Expect individual talks with the director of the site from time to time, along with counselors and other staff. Visitors and admittees can expect free meals prepared in the kitchen to reduce the burden of any lingering financial circumstances that would cause someone to have to go to bed hungry tonight.
This center has an interesting history that goes back to the days of the famed American railroads, where the current owner’s grandfather started the program for indigent men who would hitchhike aboard trains through the area. They may also provide a food bank to the local community.
