Harbel Community Organization – Prevention and Recovery Center in Baltimore, Maryland, is an outpatient alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility. They provide a range of services, including intensive outpatient treatment, peer case management and seeking safety groups. All of their services are intended to help individuals reduce involvement with substance abuse. To make care accessible and convenient for clients, Harbel provides both morning and evening group sessions. They’re also located near the #54 bus line, making the facility accessible through public transportation. They accept Medicaid, Medicare and some private insurance, but individuals who are uninsured can contact the facility to receive assistance with payment.
Clinical evaluations are scheduled for clients who are beginning treatment at the facility. After the evaluation, a treatment plan will be created. Patients will generally be required to attend the intensive outpatient program (IOP) for at least 90 days. The program helps clients involved with the court system to fulfill their treatment requirements in order to receive reduced penalties. This program is also available to individuals who just want more information about alcohol and drug use. Additional services that clients have access to include peer support services, abuser intervention programs and aftercare.
