Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric facility that offers inpatient (IP) drug and alcohol rehab services. They are located in Haverhill, Massachusetts. They treat adults with substance and alcohol use disorder. They also treat people who have been diagnosed with substance use disorder and alcohol use disorder at the same time.
You will be given a physical and psychiatric assessment when you enter the facility. The information obtained from this assessment will let the staff know what kind of therapy to treat you with. You’ll participate in group therapy sessions every day several times a day while you are there. Individual and family therapy will be given on a needed basis.
If you have a mental health condition that requires medication, the staff can prescribe it to you. The staff can also provide you with basic medical care.
This facility offers one program for adults from the ages of 19 to 49 and another for people who are older than that. This is a rarity in rehab facilities. People often feel more comfortable sharing in groups with people in their own age group who have experienced some of the same things they have.
They offer a variety of different treatment methods. Therapists most often use behavioral cognitive therapy (CBT) and sensory modulation to treat substance use disorder. This teaches you to think differently in order to behave differently. They also provide recreational therapy which uses team sports and group challenges to build confidence and cooperation skills.
