About Heartland Wellness Center – Lowell
Heartland Wellness and Recovery Center in Lowell, Indiana, helps families and individuals overcome their struggles with addiction and substance abuse. They have partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient care (IOP), community outpatient programs (OP), and many treatment and therapy models to meet the needs of each individual seeking help.
The five main therapy philosophies include a self-development model which helps them identify and overcome challenges in their personal life and on their road to recovery. Clients are taught the skills they need and given the chance to practice and develop them in order to have a better outcome and outlook in life.
The traditional model uses a great deal of peer support and 12 Step support group philosophies to help individuals build strength and a community of support to keep them moving in the right direction.
The clinical model gets to the nitty gritty of what is holding a person back or leading them to use drugs and alcohol or other addictions as a crutch to help them cope. Therapists help clients get to the heart of their pain, guilt, trauma, and dysfunction so they can move forward and leave the shame and pain of the past in the past where it belongs
They also use an emotional and spiritual model. The emotional model helps individuals gain an understanding of the disease of addiction, how it affects their choices and behaviors, and that emotions are tied to each choice they make whether a positive step or negative one. Spiritual guidance and connection can give meaning and substance to all the other models and to one’s goals in treatment and in life.
Heartland accepts most major health insurance plans, but also have self-pay options, if needed. It’s vital that individuals check with their personal health insurance provider to ensure they understand exactly what coverage they have and whether they will be financially responsible for any costs out of pocket.
