About Hegira Health – Next Step Clubhouse – Inkster
Hegira Health’s Next Step Clubhouse was a private nonprofit behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facility. They provided adults with inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and co-occurring disorder treatment. They employed a multidisciplinary staff to deliver personalized holistic care to each client. They were located in Inkster, Michigan. They are currently closed.
When they were open, Next Step Clubhouse provided residential programs for mental health and drug and alcohol addiction as well as crisis stabilization. These places gave clients a safe, structured, and monitored place to live while they receive clinical and medical services. Services included individual, group, and family therapy, assertive community treatment (ACT), Psychosocial Rehabilitation Clubhouse (PRC), cognitive enhancement therapy (ECT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
They also featured trauma, recovery, and empowerment (TREM) services and whole health action management (WHAM). Additional services included a medication only clinic, employment support, housing support, mental health court services, and peer support.
Outpatient treatment was more flexible and less intensive than residential programs. Clients visited with their teams on a regular schedule to participate in treatment, all while continuing to live at home.
Treatment for co-occurring disorders, defined as a diagnosis of substance use disorder and a second behavioral health concern, addressed the symptoms of both problems to reduce the overall risk of relapse.
Hegira Health worked with many commercial insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Magellan, Humana, and United Health Care. Clients were reminded that out of network benefits may vary and to confirm their coverage.
