About Helen Ross McNabb Center Campbell County – Jacksboro
The Helen Ross McNabb Center used to provide care for adults in Jacksboro, Campbell County, Tennessee. It used to offer addiction treatment services to adults, regardless of gender, and including individuals with concurrent mental or behavioral health issues.
Before it closed, this center used to offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for individuals struggling with drug or alcohol addiction. Counseling sessions were gender-specific and covered the needs of individuals struggling with dual-diagnoses, too.
The program provided around nine to 12 hours of structured treatment services each week, including addiction and HIV education sessions, and group therapy.
As you may have guessed from the name, this particular initiative was geared toward helping mothers, specifically those aged 18 and older who were pregnant or had given birth within the last 12 months. It was all about increasing the availability of inpatient services for pregnant and postpartum individuals who struggled with substance misuse.
Care was tailored to client’s individual needs, with the initiative providing safe and welcoming spaces for mothers to be honest and open about their experience, including all the challenges involved in that.
Participants could access drug and alcohol assessments, educational programming, individual, group, and family therapy, as well as referrals to appropriate levels of care. The initiative also helped facilitate entry into detox centers and residential facilities as needed, as well as providing at-home wraparound services and case management.
