About Henrico Area Mental Health – East Center Office – Richmond
These services are for individuals with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse issues. Case managers work with individuals to monitor symptoms and coordinate psychiatric and medical care, connect them to community resources, address activities of daily living, and link them to education groups.
The community-based psychosocial rehab program is called Lakeside Center. It helps participants build skills and confidence and provides psycho-educational, social, recreational and skill training activities. Participants engage in vocational training and group therapy. Certified peer recovery specialists who have experienced similar mental health challenges provide supportive relationships.
Insurance may cover some or all of treatment. In-network providers may include carriers such as Wellmark, Beacon, Aetna, Humana, and TRICARE. Coverage typically covers some or all of mental health and drug rehab services. Verify your coverage and out-of-network benefits directly with your insurance provider.
