Highland Rivers Behavioral Health – Whitfield Recovery and Wellness Center serves Dalton, Georgia adults, youth and families that are affected by addictive disease, intellectual disabilities and mental health disorders. They serve low income folks as well as veterans. They accept Medicaid and Medicare and other state and federal benefits. They also have a sliding fee scale based on income if you are uninsured.
This center offers crisis stabilization, a transitional housing program for men with substance use disorders and outpatient programs for adults.
They have two transitional homes. These are for men who have been discharged from a crisis stabilization unit within the last year. If your primary diagnosis is substance use disorder, this option may be for you. Here, you’ll have a safe and sober home with other men who are on the same road to recovery. These transitional homes give you structure and support without removing you from the real world.
Whitfield’s outpatient program includes group counseling and skills training. These are important tools to help recovering people succeed after treatment. You’ll learn about social skills, healthy habits, coping, communicating well, empowerment and other topics related to recovery and wellness.
