About Hillside Children’s Center – Rochester
Hillside Children’s Center’s Crestwood Campus is located in Rochester, New York. They provide residential and day treatment programs for children and teens with emotional and behavioral challenges. These programs are meant to help young individuals get the care and structure they need, all while keeping families closely involved in the process.
The residential treatment program at Crestwood is a full-time care solution for children who require a safe, supportive space to process trauma, mental health issues, or substance use. Each child’s care plan is built to meet their special needs. The center is off on its own corner off the main road so you’ll have plenty of privacy.
What I appreciate most about this program is how involved families are in the healing process. Parents and guardians also participate in therapy and treatment planning, helping to ensure that their child’s progress continues at home. The purpose is to determine the root causes of their disorders and give kids the necessary tools to develop healthier behaviors and outlooks.
Crestwood’s day treatment program is a great option for families who want less intensive care. It helps kids work on their emotional and behavioral challenges during the day while letting them return home in the evenings. The program is designed to help kids stay on track with their education while also addressing personal struggles. Teachers and therapists collaborate to make sure every child receives the support they need.
In addition to these programs, Crestwood also offers Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) for in-home and community support. These services are available at other Hillside locations, too, so families can explore additional options to fit their needs.
