About Hilltop Lodge – Baconton
Georgia Pines provides mental health and addiction treatment services for clients of all ages. They offer outpatient services and inpatient programs at different locations across Georgia, including a residential facility for adults called Hilltop Lodge in Baconton. Here, you’ll receive 24/7 care to help you recover before you reintegrate into society.
This is a six month program that can take up to 16 people at a time. While you stay here, you’ll be monitored round the clock by a team of multidisciplinary paraprofessionals. Before being admitted, you’ll have to complete a 30 day intensive treatment program to set the stage for your long term recovery. They also require you to keep a full time job the entire time you’re living there.
During the day, you’ll participate in outpatient group counseling. These groups will give you a chance to talk about your challenges, connect with your peers, and learn helpful strategies for recovery, such as how to prevent a relapse. You can attend those meetings as needed but you must go to three 12 Step meetings or other self help groups at least once a week. The goal of these services is to teach you life skills and give you practical tools before you go back into your home and community.
Before you leave the facility, they’ll make sure you have somewhere safe and stable to live. They’ll also verify that you have full time employment. If you need connections to other community based support services, they can link you to those resources.
