About Home Of New Vision – Residential – Ann Arbor
Home of New Vision is a nonprofit organization providing care for people with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The facility is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They offer inpatient and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for men and women 18 and up. You can get inpatient help for substance use whether or not you have a co-occurring disorder. The IOP accepts most private insurance plans but they don’t accept Medicaid.
There’s also a women’s specialty program here. The women’s program is an outpatient service primarily for women who have a substance use disorder and take care of dependent children. They offer services like one-on-one therapy, case management services, psychiatry, outpatient groups and peer recovery coaching. A case manager can help with services such as transportation, childcare, medical care and pediatric medical care. They can also help with food and clothing.
There’s also an enhanced women’s program serving pregnant women and women up to one year postpartum. The enhanced program also helps women who’ve terminated a pregnancy or had a miscarriage in the last year. The treatments are focused on coordinating with medical providers and providing support through obstacles many of these women face in their treatment.
The inpatient program will help you overcome substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder. During your treatment, they’ll provide a supportive environment to lay a foundation for recovery. They’ll help you connect with others in recovery and aftercare services.
You’ll have 10 hours a week or more of group counseling and at least one hour a week of individual counseling in the inpatient program. If appropriate, your family will also be included in some counseling. There’s also a minimum of eight hours per week of psychoeducational didactic sessions. You’ll have time for recreation and vocational training. The inpatient program is highly structured and helps you learn new skills for living without substances.
If you choose the outpatient program, you’ll participate in individual and group therapy. You’ll have a case manager to help you navigate all aspects of your recovery. There are also psychiatric services if you need medication management.
