If you need medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid or alcohol use disorder, they can prescribe it for you.
This clinic also offers a harm reduction program. Sometimes it takes a while to decide to abstain from drugs or alcohol. In the meantime, you can minimize your risks of overdose or substance use related illnesses through the program. You can get naloxone to have on hand and they’ll teach you and your family members how to use it to reverse an overdose.
If you’re using syringes to inject drugs you’re at increased risk for some infections such as HIV and hepatitis C. Through the syringe services program, you can get sterile needles and dispose of used needles safely. They also have testing and HIV prevention services. They offer vaccinations for hepatitis A and B and curative treatments for hepatitis C. The program helps get you on track to address your substance use issues.
