About HopeWorks – Albuquerque

Known as the hot air balloon capital of the world, Albuquerque, New Mexico is also home to HopeWorks. Since 1985 they’ve welcomed individuals and families experiencing homelessness and mental health or substance abuse challenges. You’ll benefit from a supportive environment to get back on your feet regardless of your unique needs.

One great thing about them is their services are available for everyone. As one of the largest Community Mental Health Centers in New Mexico they can provide comprehensive care despite your financial or housing situation.

If you’re experiencing housing insecurity or battling addiction then they provide care to meet you where you are in recovery. You’ll benefit from proven therapeutic interventions, including outpatient group and individual therapy and psychosocial rehabilitation. Additionally, you can access medication management, day shelter, housing assistance and case management.

What stands out most to me is their Housing Division. They strive to remove barriers to recovery including access to housing. This program connects you with various housing types from transitional living to family rapid rehousing. You’ll benefit from customized services to address your unique needs and situation.

Of their housing options, Hope Village really caught my eye. This newly constructed supportive housing project offers permanent housing for up to 42 residents. They prioritize people who’ve experienced chronic homelessness and behavioral or mental health conditions.

Lastly, I think their case management services are fantastic. If you’re fighting a serious mental health condition and co-occurring substance abuse you can access wraparound services to aid in your journey. Their dedicated team connects you with essential tools to work on vital recovery aspects.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
