About Horizon Wellness Center – Appomattox

You can get connected to a peer support specialist who has walked through similar life experiences. With their mentorship, you’ll get to learn from their experiences and gain insight into how to best plan your path to recovery and sustainable sobriety.
The care team here also takes a trauma focused approach to care. This approach is typically used with veterans who seek services here.
In addition to counseling and cognitive behavioral therapies, nurse practitioners are on site at the Horizon Wellness Center. Following psychiatric support, these medical professionals can prescribe medication if your circumstances require it.
