About Houses of Hope of Nebraska, Inc. – Lincoln
Houses of Hope is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. They offer programs to help adults with mental illness and substance use disorder achieve long term recovery and independence. There are a few different programs including halfway houses, short term residential treatment and service coordination.
Their houses are designed for adult men only, and they’ve three of them in all. In each, you’ll find a supportive, sober environment to help you continue your recovery journey. To stay here, you must have completed an initial addiction treatment program that prepared you to transition into independent living. During your time in the facility, you’ll be expected to maintain a job, go to individual and group counseling sessions, attend life skills training and participate in 12 Step recovery groups. Their goal is to help you cope with everyday triggers in a healthy way as you return to your home, family, and community.
In addition to transitional housing, they also offer a more structured short term residential facility that’s available for both men and women. This program focuses on counseling, psychotherapy, case management, and nursing care.
Something I like about this facility is that they also offer a community based program that offers coordinated care for all clients. This is a group effort among several local entities, including several behavioral health agencies. Together, they provide crisis response services, emergency support and intervention. These services are available round the clock in rural and city areas.
One former client calls his time in residential treatment a life changing experience. Another calls going here the best decision he ever made.
