Human Resources Center is a non profit organization that provides outpatient substance abuse treatment in Marshall, Illinois. The services offered include individual and group therapy, DUI education and anonymous recovery groups. The facility has various medical professionals that can work with you such as certified recovery support professionals and certified alcohol and drug counselors.
During your substance use screening and assessment, you’ll receive a biopsychosocial assessment, drug testing and other screening services. Clients can be referred to these services by legal professionals, medical providers,or self referral. Clinicians will put together appropriate objectives and goals to assist you in changing your substance use.
Various group therapy sessions are offered at HRC that focus on evidence based practices such as relapse prevention techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy. One unique group they offer on Fridays is the Hollywood and Recovery group. Clients will view a different movie or documentary on addiction and then discuss it afterward.
HRC also provides state certified DUI evaluations for clients who need to complete requirements following incarceration for DUI. A classification of risk will be determined, and you’ll be recommended to the appropriate classes or substance use disorder treatment. Depending on your classification of risk, you may need to take a risk education class, which is a 10 hour class offered in four sessions. The facility also provides DUI update services to provide documentation needed for applying for reinstatement of your driving privileges.
After you’ve completed your treatment plan, you can start attending Anonymous Recovery groups held at the facility. The meetings are a place where you can continue to receive support from peers and learn principles that can help you maintain your sobriety.
Marshall is located not far from the Indiana border. To enjoy some relaxation in nature in between your treatment sessions, you can visit Lincoln Trail State Park which has some interesting historic sites worth seeing.
