About Human Development Center – Duluth
Human Development Center or HDC is located at East Hillside Campus in Duluth, Minnesota. They provide help for children, youths and adults who need mental health treatment. They also provide behavioral health and recovery services. Payment is on a sliding fee scale based on income.
They have contracts with local counties to help with case management services for children and adults battling serious mental health issues. They work together with families and individuals, providing help with maximizing independence and integration into the community, on top of their focus on mental and behavioral health.
They also have an Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services program or ARMHS that helps people with mental illness who have problems living independently. Participants must be eligible for Minnesota’s Medical Assistance or MA and Health Plan Programs from PMAP.
They also have Behavioral Health Home that’s recovery focussed and person and family centered. The intent of this program is to provide better experiences and better outcomes than traditional services tend to achieve.
HDC also has a Certified Peer Support program connecting people who’ve lived through mental health issues with those who are currently battling the same problems. They also have Children’s Therapeutic Services, Early Childhood Mental Health and a First Episodes Psychosis program. You can also get medication assisted treatment, general therapy and psychiatry to combat mental health events.
