About Humble Beginnings Recovery Center – Willow Grove
Humble Beginnings Recovery Centerwas an addiction treatment facility in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania that offered outpatient (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for clients recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction as well as co-occurring mental illnesses. They are closed now.
Clients in the clinic’s IOP program participated in nine to 15 hours of weekly therapy sessions. The duration of the program was six to 12 weeks depending on where the client was in their recovery journey. The clinic recommended that clients lived in sober living homes while attending the IOP program.
Humble Beginnings’ OP program consisted of four hours of therapy each week which included one group session and one individual session. The clinic recommended that clients continued OP treatment for at least four weeks after entering the program. During this time, clients also worked on developing important life skills.
In addition to inpatient and outpatient services the clinic also had a male-only partial hospitalization program (PHP) which ran from Monday through Saturday. Clients were typically in the program for four to six weeks with the length of stay being determined by their individual needs. Clients in PHP had access to a variety of resources including case management, group and individual therapy and activities geared toward recovery.
This program differed from inpatient treatment because clients had the option to return home at the end of the day. All clients were given a thorough questionnaire during the admission process to ensure they received the right level of care.
The clinic believed that the recovery process should be tailored to each client’s needs and all of their programs took an individualized approach. They prided themselves on putting clients’ needs first and used evidence -based techniques to create comprehensive treatment plans.
