Humble House offers a safe, structured and supportive environment where residents can build independent life skills in a substance-free setting before rejoining the community. It fosters an interactive community that encourages peer support and collaboration. Program staff help you set goals and provide guidance as you navigate recovery onsite.
Residents attend therapy groups to share experiences, challenges and progress with peers. Additionally, they attend 12 Step meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous to build strong support networks.

You’ll gain job readiness skills like resume writing, job searching, interview preparation and time management to help you succeed in the workforce. This is important because maintaining a stable job promotes routine and financial independence that helps your recovery long term. You’ll also learn skills like healthy communication and problem-solving, alongside decision-making and goal-setting to help you succeed in life.
Residents are encouraged to actively participate in all program activities and support the smooth running of the house by attending to their assigned chores. They must also obey all the house rules. This fosters accountability and personal responsibility. The program encourages building lasting relationships with people who support your recovery journey. It’s not just about staying sober; it’s about learning how to live a balanced, fulfilling life.
