Hutchings Psychiatric Center has an outpatient clinic in Syracuse, New York. It’s on Washington Street and is less than a mile away from their HQ. It’s run by the State Office on Mental Health. They offer care for moderate or severe mental health conditions that tie into drug or alcohol addiction. Please note that they specialize in treating children and their families.
They have various outpatient programs. They can enroll up to 400 kids and family members, Patient ages range from 5 to 18 years old. There are case management teams made up of psychologists and nurses. There’s also an internship program as well for more junior professionals and students, but they follow the same standards. They’ll give you a variety of individual and group counseling, play therapy, and medication assisted treatment for acute cases.
They used to provide adult services. However, in May 2024, the Washington Street clinic was folded into the main campus. These services now include diagnostics, assessments, and some inpatient and outpatient care.
Their actual addiction treatment services seem limited, but check ’em out for info on how they might be able to treat you, or if you can be referred to a nearby addiction center with their help.
