About Ideal Option – Spokane
Ideal Option is accredited by The Joint Commission and has many locations across nine states. One location is on East Francis Avenue in Spokane, Washington. The Francis Ave location is an outpatient clinic for substance use disorder. They don’t offer therapy for co-occurring disorders at that location, but they can offer a referral to behavioral services in the community.
The Francis Ave clinic accepts most private insurance. They also take Medicare and Medicaid. If you’re uninsured, they offer payment plans and financial assistance. Most patients can get treatment within three days after contacting the center.
Their outpatient treatment includes treatment for opioids, alcohol and methamphetamines. You’ll go through three stages of treatment at the clinic. It’s important to note that you can’t begin any medication until you’ve been off opioids for 24 to 36 hours. Some medications can’t be started until you’ve been off opioids for 14 days depending on the type of opioid. If your substance of abuse is alcohol, Vivitrol is effective even if you’re not already in withdrawal.
The first stage of the program is initiation. It lasts about one or two weeks and includes the management of withdrawal in the home setting. You’ll use the provided medications to transition from substance use to medication treatment. A nurse checks on you at home daily. You’ll also go to the clinic a couple of times a week.
Stage two is stabilization. This takes about four to six weeks. During this time you’ll transition off substances completely. Once stable, you’ll drop down to weekly or every other week visits to the clinic.
The third stage is maintenance. At this stage, you’re making consistent progress, and you’ll see your provider monthly. The provider ensures your medication is still working and that your physical and behavioral health needs are addressed. Although they don’t offer behavioral health treatment at the East Francis location, your provider can connect you with the help you need for co-occurring disorders.
The clinic gets high reviews from former clients. Several mentioned that the staff are amazing and professional and that the facility is very clean.
