INTEGRIS Generations, part of INTEGRIS Health, is a mental health and substance abuse treatment facility in Miami, Oklahoma. This is a program specialized in treating adults 55 and older through inpatient treatment and co-occurring disorder care. This is a short term program.
Short term treatment is a great starting point and alternative to longer programs. The multidisciplinary staff at INTEGRIS Generations still provides comprehensive whole person care, but their program serves more as an introduction to treatment rather than a whole program. Upon completion and assessment, clients will be referred to an appropriate program to continue recovery.
What I find so unique about their program is the inclusion of your primary care physician in treatment. Treatment programs communicating with your primary care team isn’t new, but this program directly involves them in treatment itself if they choose. This option can help consolidate care and ensure your providers are updated on your progress before completion, reducing any time and difficulty you may otherwise experience with continuing care.
