Jersey City Medical Center is a private behavioral health and substance abuse rehab in Jersey City, New Jersey, near Morris Canal Basin. Inpatient care is designed for clients with severe symptoms or who are deemed high risk. For the length of treatment, such clients live at the facility, where staff can watch them and attend to their needs around the clock. Clients follow a personalized treatment plan rooted in therapy that helps them develop healthy coping and life skills.

This facility offers intensive outpatient treatment through its Stepping Stones Program. Clients continue to live at home while visiting the facility between three and five days a week to meet with their care team and participate in their treatment program. Each session lasts three and a half hours.

The standard outpatient program is the lowest level of care this facility provides. It’s similar to IOP but meets less frequently, for shorter sessions, or both. Therapy in the outpatient program can take place in individual, group, family, and couples/marriage settings.
