About JEVS Human Services – Philadelphia
JEVS Human Services is a nonprofit organization that helps people enhance their chances of employability, independence, and quality of life through various services. Part of this is their behavioral health services, which include treatment for mental illnesses and substance misuse disorders. They are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and along with behavioral health care, their key services include employment and workforce development as well as home care and education and career training.
When it comes to their behavioral health services, they offer a Community Integrated Recovery Center, which helps individuals with serious mental illnesses by providing them with therapy, education, community integration, and employment training. I like that they even have mental health outpatient services that include therapy and counseling as well.
One of their programs, called the Center for New Americans, offers job training and unemployment coaching to refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of human trafficking. They help these people acquire the workforce skills they might need to establish themselves in the US and succeed in society. They also have a program called Work Ready that provides employment services to individuals receiving TANF and SNAP assistance.
Another thing I found is that they offer home care and residential services. JEVS Care at Home is a program that provides personal care and assistance with daily living activities as well as companionship and care for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
