About Jewish Family Service – Valley Storefront Senior Center – Los Angeles
Valley Storefront Community Resource Center, located in North Hollywood, California, is part of the Jewish Family Service LA network. This location offers outpatient social support services for adults, adolescents, and children of Jewish and all other backgrounds and identities. Services include children-specific programs, wellness programs for seniors, and support services for survivors of the Holocaust.
There are two adult programs at the Valley Storefront Community Resource Center. The Chaverim program offers social activities and Zoom meetings for adults of diverse abilities. The Arts, Wellness, and Engagement Program offers seniors the opportunity to socialize, stay active and fit, and improve their well-being with activities, classes, and social events.
The Hamercaz program provides support groups, counseling, and ongoing assistance for children and families. Social activities, play dates, Jewish holiday celebrations, and opportunities to attend Jewish programs and camps are also available. The center may also offer referrals to more intensive, specific programs if needed, such as alcohol or drug rehab treatment.
For the programs that have a fee, the Valley Storefront Community Resource Center may accept insurance plans, such as Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Beacon, ComPsych, and Magellan Health.
