Journey Mental Health Center is a private, non-profit behavioral health agency that started in 1948. At their location in Madison, Wisconsin, they offer a variety of outpatient services like addiction treatment, mental health counseling, and recovery outreach. Journey’s Clinica Latina offers substance abuse treatment and mental health care in the Spanish language for Latina women. All clinicians in the program are bicultural and bilingual and recognize the beliefs and values of this group. You’ll be able to access a mental health assessment, individual and group counseling, case management, and prescriber services in Spanish.
Ujima is a culturally specific program treating individuals and families who identify as Black, Indigenous, or persons of color. The name Ujima was derived from Kwanzaa’s third principle and it represents community-based work and responsibility.. Therapy, case management, and psychiatric services are culturally sensitive.
Growth Recovery Outreach Wellness (GROW) provides community services for individuals, youth, and families who are struggling with substance abuse or mental health disorders. The goal of this specialized program is to help you navigate the behavioral health system and increase your level of independence. In addition to psychotherapy, you’ll receive peer support, medication management, and educational and vocational rehabilitation.
For any co-occurring disorders, you can access group and individual counseling sessions that will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors at this location.
