About JourneyPure — Florida Alcohol & Drug Rehab – Panama City Beach
JourneyPure – Florida Alcohol and Drug Rehab is an addiction rehabilitation center on the Emerald Coast in Panama City Beach, Florida. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission, and they offer treatment for substance use disorder and co-occurring (dual diagnosis) disorders. The facility accepts private insurance as well as public sector and employer provided insurance. They accept TRICARE and have a special program for active military and veterans.
The center offers detox, residential and outpatient treatment programs. When you enter the program, you’ll have a thorough assessment so your team can develop a customized treatment plan. They’ll determine whether you need detox, inpatient or outpatient treatment.
Detox is the process that breaks the physical dependency on whatever substance you’ve been using. If you need detox, that’s your first step. Most people are in detox for five to seven days.
If you and your team decide on the inpatient program, you’ll stay for 30 to 90 days. While in treatment, you’ll participate in group and individual therapy. Many people with substance use disorders also have co-occurring mental health disorders. These may include illnesses such as anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. Co-occurring disorders are often the driving force behind substance use, so it’s important to have them diagnosed. Therapy and medication, if appropriate, help you deal with your mental health challenges so you can successfully work on your addictions.
Some people don’t need a full inpatient program, but they need structured, supervised treatment. Their partial hospitalization program (PHP) may be a good fit. The PHP allows you to live at home but provides individual and group therapy as well as psychoeducation.
They also offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) which is great for patients who don’t need the structure and monitoring of the PHP or inpatient program. You’ll have therapy most days of the week for several hours a day. Once you find your footing if you’d still like some support, you can transition to the regular outpatient program. This program meets only a few times per week for a couple of hours of therapy.
Their programs include experiential therapy like music, art and equine therapy. You’ll also have the opportunity for outdoor recreation therapy.
