About Juneau Youth Services – Light House – Juneau
Juneau Youth Services–Lighthouse offers inpatient mental and behavioral health care for adolescents in Juneau, Alaska experiencing co-occurring addiction and mental illness. They provide crisis intervention and patient stabilization, short and long-term residential care, and aftercare planning and support, including specialized programming for justice-involved juveniles and youth in state custody. Their programs are licensed by the state of Alaska.
Their residential programs allow clients to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment featuring round-the-clock clinic supervision and comfortable, home-like amenities. Clients receive medical and mental health assessments, personalized care planning, and complete case management. They also engage in intensive, trauma-informed individual, group, and family counseling. The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety and successful reintegration into their home, school, and community through robust, age-specific life skills training addressing topics such as coping, self-care, communication, emotional regulation, self-esteem, medication management, and relapse prevention. Academic programs and vocational training are available through the accredited, onsite day school.
Their aftercare services enable a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs and may include transitional support for clients stepping down from inpatient treatment and referrals for additional medical, mental health, and social service programs.
