They strive to promote the well being of people struggling with mental illness, emotional difficulties, substance abuse, or other behavioral challenges. They’ve been providing comprehensive services to the community and residents of Maine for almost 65 years.
If you sign up with Kennebec, you’ll know that they have a program to help adults, adolescents and families who have dealt with substance abuse and or harmful relationships. They provide integrated services for help with mental issues and co-occurring problems with substance use and aim to help create a life without the need for harmful substances and to find personal freedom.
They also offer school based counseling services and have a Children’s Home & Community Based Treatment that’s funded by MaineCare. With this program, a behavioral health professional provides intensive in-home and community based intervention and treatment for families and children experiencing extreme conflict.
They provide multi systemic therapy MST that looks to help strengthen and support families and addresses serious family problems that if left unresolved can lead to a child being removed from the home.
They also have an intensely high level integrated medication assisted treatment (MAT) for people fighting opioid use disorder or OUD. You’ll have a team with a clinical lead, SUD counselor, MAT prescriber, nurse care manager and recovery coaches. They’ll look to promote whole person wellness and long term recovery while building resiliency and connecting patients with community support options.
While Wilson’s Place is closed, they do have other centers throughout Maine, including another location in Skowhegan.
