About Kensington Hospital – Philadelphia
Kensington Hospital – Addiction Services is an independent recovery center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is accredited by The Joint Commission. They have treatment plans for adults who have alcohol and drug addiction issues. Services include detox, inpatient care, and medication assisted treatment.
At Kensington Hospital, your treatment will usually begin with detox, if needed. The detox program is residential, which means you’ll be supervised 24/7. A case management team will monitor you as you stabilize. If necessary, methadone may be given to help relieve your withdrawal pains. Medication management is available throughout your inpatient stay so you won’t relapse.
After detox, you’ll transition into residential care. You’ll have a range of individual and group therapy, so you can recover with your peers offering support. There will also be harm reduction classes and tips on how to avoid relapsing.
Once you graduate from your inpatient program, you’ll continue to receive medication management on an outpatient basis. Continuing care is also available, with primary health services provided. A mobile unit is also featured as part of an outreach program to help with wound care.
As of this writing, an intensive outpatient program is in development in case you continue to need counseling while recovering at home.
