Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) provides integrative mental and behavioral health care for youth and adults in Kodiak, Alaska. Specialized programs are available for children, adolescents, young adults, seniors, and persons with co-occurring disorders. Their services include crisis intervention, patient stabilization, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), general outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare services.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Their intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are designed for clients who require high-level supervision and support, including those stepping down from inpatient care, in early recovery, or at an elevated relapse risk. Clients receive medical and mental health assessments, personalized care plans, and complete case management. Referrals for acute and subacute inpatient care are available as needed. Clients also engage in intensive individual, group, and family counseling and age-specific, recovery-focused life-skills training that addresses topics such as parenting and anger management.
General Outpatient Program (OP) and Aftercare
Their general outpatient and aftercare programs provide a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs. These services may include step-down support, housing and employment assistance, and referrals for additional medical, mental health, and social services.
