About La Frontera Arizona — RAPP Project Connect – Tempe
La Frontera Arizona – Broadway Boulevard is located in Tucson, Arizona. This location offers access to the Readily Accessible People Program (RAPP) Connect. Through this program, you’ll find support with the Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team.
If you are struggling with a serious mental illness, have a substance use disorder, and are currently experiencing homelessness, The RAPP Project Connect and their PACT team can help you.
You’ll get connected to mental health and addiction counseling services and you work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who can help support you on your part to recovery.
Along with serving homeless individuals, they also work with individuals who are in the local jail system as well as those in the jail’s mental health unit. The goal of these services is to help you develop the skills you need to lead an independent and productive life once you complete your sentence or find a home to live.
A big part of the RAPP Connect program is to connect you with the appropriate services for your mental health or substance use struggles. There are free screenings that take place to help determine a possible diagnosis and what avenues for treatment that will best serve you.
Their outreach team is one of the most comprehensive as this outreach team goes into the local community including parks, places of worship, homeless shelters, and homeless camps. The RAPP team also works with different social service agencies to provide education and support for when you’re ready to begin recovering.
Through this outreach, you can start working with addiction counselors who will help you take the first step in recovery.
The RAPP program has a drop in center for people experiencing homelessness. Here you’ll have access to hygiene kits, toiletries, coffee, restrooms, and even blankets and clothing. This center serves as a place for you to receive the necessary items to remain safe despite your homelessness. You’ll even have access to telephone services too.
This center also serves as a community space where you can connect with others and talk to the care team if you have questions about recovery services and support.
