About Lake County Behavioral Health – Round Lake Park Mental Health – Round Lake Park
Lake County Behavioral Health – Round Lake Park Mental Health is located in the quaint village of Round Lake Park, Illinois. This government clinic provides behavioral health and substance abuse services for youth aged 12 to 20. Your child can access comprehensive care and specialized interventions to meet their unique needs.
Their Child & Adolescent Behavioral Services (CABS) program welcomes youth currently experimenting with substances or diagnosed with substance use disorder. Your child can participate in outpatient care while living at home and maintaining responsibilities like school. They provide trauma informed group, individual and family counseling as well as crisis interventions, case management and psychiatric services.
One great feature that caught my eye was their flexible payment methods. The clinic accepts Medicaid and Medicaid MCO insurance, and you can still receive compassionate care without insurance. They provide services based on your number of dependents and income. If you’re an eligible Lake County resident you can pay based on a sliding fee schedule. That way finances won’t stand in the way of getting the care your family needs.
I also think their Family Support Program (FSP) is fantastic. If your child has a severe emotional disturbance and needs more intensive or residential services, they can connect you to with appropriate care. Your child can also access free therapeutic and individual support including nutrition classes, gym memberships, art therapy and drama therapy.
Lastly, I think it’s great that they offer prevention and harm reduction programs just 25 minutes away at their Waukegan location. Anyone in Lake County can participate in opioid overdose prevention and education. You can learn more about the nature of opioids, how overdoses happen and how to reverse them with Narcan. They even provide free Narcan kits to participants after they complete the training. I think this is great because you can gain the tools to spread awareness and save lives.
