About Lakes Regional Mental Health – Greenville
Lakes Regional Community Center in Greenville, Texas, is a non profit that provides mental health and substance use disorder treatment services. In collaboration with individuals, families, and community organizations, they give clients person centered treatment plans. Some of the treatment options available include individual and group substance use disorder, screening and drug evaluation, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice aftercare treatment program.
You’ll participate in a two hour group once a week for the duration of your treatment. The counselor will help you to process your feelings and build life skills that can support your long term recovery. Some life skills taught may include stress management and conflict resolution.
Your peers will also be able to share insights from their experiences and provide you support to stay encouraged in your recovery. You’ll have an individual counseling session one hour a week.
A counselor will help make sure you’re adhering to your treatment plan and assist you with understanding the cause of your addiction. The evidence based therapeutic approaches that might be used in your sessions include cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy.
In coordination with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Lakes Regional Community Center provides substance use treatment for individuals who’ve been incarcerated. These services include case management, drug and alcohol testing, and counseling sessions. Clients will have regular treatment meetings with probation and parole.
