Larned State Hospital rests on a 78 acre campus in Larned, Kansas. This location is the largest psychiatric hospital in the state, boasting 90 beds for its mental health and addiction treatment programs. Voluntary stays are welcome. When you receive treatment at this hospital, a social worker will be part of your care team. Their role is to help coordinate care by acting as a liaison between you and your providers. They collect records and ensure that the right people and departments get what they need in regard to your treatment.
They also assist in your discharge planning, connecting you with appropriate community resources. This could mean transitioning to another program or identifying groups and programs in the community that you’ll find useful on your recovery journey.
