About Las Vegas Rescue Mission – Recovery Program – Las Vegas
Las Vegas Rescue Mission Recovery Program is a residential drug and alcohol rehab facility that serves homeless people who struggle with substance use disorder or alcohol use disorder. They’re located in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. They treat people with concurring disorders as well.
Clients may be referred to this facility by an agency or you may self-refer. They will not take you if you have used alcohol or drugs for 48 hours before entering this place as they do not provide detox services here.
You will be considered under observation for the first 45 days that you are here. This means you will not be able to leave the property at all. They provide medical examinations as well as social services avalible to you during this time. The staff will also let you speak to an attorney. You will not have access to cell phones or other electronics during this time.
You must pay $180 a month as a resident. If you cannot afford to pay out of pocket, you should know that they accept EBT cards. You will be provided with a bunk and three meals a day.
Residents are provided with both group and individual therapy. They also have work therapy which is thought to increase a person’s self-esteem. You may have to lift between 25 and 50 pounds to be accepted as a resident.
You will be considered a resident once you have completed this initial program. The people who run the mission believe that Christianity is the best way to combat substance addiction. They have a full-time minister and daily Bible study and prayer.
