About Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women – Richmond
Open landscape, rolling hills, fresh air and peaceful scenery is what you can expect when arriving at Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women in Richmond, Kentucky. Since 2008 they have helped countless women achieve sobriety and rebuild their lives as part of the Recovery Kentucky initiative.
This facility offers many other programs as well, life skills training, job readiness and career development are just a few of the services that can help post-recovery.
Liberty focuses on a self-help and peer to peer support model, which can help you live a sober life in a structured environment. All of the treatment here is free thanks to the Recovery Kentucky initiative and other funding programs.
During your treatment you can expect a four-phase process including orientation and stabilization, personal responsibility and early recovery, community integration and independence. The staff here will be a part of each phase to ensure a successful outcome.
Unlike other traditional rehab centers that rely on clinical treatment this facility follows a different model. Residents support each other through the process, creating a strong sense of community and accountability.
Alumni and former residents mentor newcomers so you’ll have the support of people who know what you’re going through. This creates a continuous cycle of shared experiences and encouragement to help aid in recovery.
Fishing, walking trails, picnics, softball games and outdoor yoga are only a few of the group outings done at Lake Reba which is just eight miles away. Hikes at nearby nature reserves like the Berea Pinnacles promote physical activity and mindfulness.
Trips to local festivals, concerts, farmers markets and EKU’s center of the arts are also fun and community building experiences you can enjoy during your stay here.
