Lifecore Health Group provides behavioral healthcare and primary care for children, teenagers, and adults in Houston, Mississippi. At this facility, you’ll find outpatient counseling services to help you work through your challenges, including co-occurring disorders like addiction.
Their treatment strikes a good balance between holistic healing and proven therapeutic treatments. When you talk with your counselor, you may go through a few different types of therapies like motivational interviewing or acceptance and commitment therapy. Or, you might draw and paint as you share your story. They’ll use different techniques depending on what you’re working through and the specific issues you’re facing. Along with substance use disorder, you might also need to work through feelings of depression, anxiety, or grief, and they’ll give you the tools to get there.
If you need more support than an outpatient center can provide, your counselor may refer you to another location within the Lifecore network. They operate a residential treatment facility in nearby Tupelo, Mississippi, which is about 45 minutes away.
You’ll work with your counselor to figure out how often you need to come in and how long your treatment should be. You can come alone or bring a loved one with you. During your sessions, you’ll learn practical ways to build your self esteem, handle anger, and deal with stress.
